My mission is to inspire and acknowledge the serenity of our fragile outside world through my art... In the end, i want to try to show people the true beau-tie of fish and wildlife and hopefully raise a few eyebrows as to how important these creatures and their surroundings are and maybe have a greater appreciation for fish and wildlife and the general outside world!..To me these are some of the most important resources in the world and they need to be protected!
First off i would like to welcome each and every individual to my Website. Please feel free to brows around and explore the art work or leave a comment i would love to here from you! ..Now for a little bit of my history..Ever since i was able to crawl, i have been fascinated with the magic of nature and wildlife...As i got older that fascination has only grown and gotten stronger and STRONGER!..Growing up i have spent countless hours exploring Canada's wild side from the dense rain forests of British Columbia's west coast to the beautiful rolling hills in Gatineau ,Quebec hiking, exploring, fishing, hunting and camping taking photographs and video footage of my adventures!..However it wasn't until 2013 that i decided to take things to a new level and started to incorporate on site pencil sketching of fish, wildlife and nature going about it's everyday life! ..As a youngster i spent days upon days in the summers chasing Bass and Pike at my grandparents cottage in Ontario. At the end of the day i would put on my Picasso face and sit at the dinner table and do small scale drawings of the fish and birds that i saw that day out on the water!...He was a huge fan of Jacques Cousteau and his underwater world research of books on sea life!..when he was 5 his elementary school held a district art contest, he entered it and ended up painting a impressionist painting of what he saw while looking out of his bedroom window at his parents home in Vernon B.C..two weeks later he found out that he had won the competition and ended up doing a live televised interview with Rogers T.V. about his winning masterpiece! It's not very often people make it out into the wild to see and capture the sheer power of nature and wildlife in it's natural surroundings going about it's everyday routine. he definitely uses the fish and wildlife of B.C. as fuel for his artwork!..Charlie is a born outdoors fanatic with a huge passion for art and the precious outside world...When he is not exploring the wilderness or chasing various fish species with his fly rod he can be found in the studio working with graphite smeared hands sketching away at his drawing pad or brushing acrylic paint onto a canvas...His work combines a contemporary feel with extreme realism and vibrant coloration's..Charlies artistic mediums are graphite pencil on various types of paper and acrylic paint on assorted canvases and board..."I have a huge amount of respect and pride for our wilderness and general outside world, i put everything I've got into my work and take huge pride in every pencil mark to hit the paper and each paint stroke that touches the canvas...." Clark wants to get as close as he can to his subjects to capture and present as much of the realistic feel and true character and beau-tie plus- some to each and every finished product.."I like to leave it with a real lifelike feel but yet artistic as well""...Every piece of work that Charlie finishes is left with a true meaning or message or sense behind it, ..It's one of those things where you can look at the same painting 100 times and each time it looks a little different!..His catchy vibrant coloration's and breathtaking close ups are truly incredible .. Charlies work is quickly being recognized through-out the globe!..2015 another one of Charlie's dreams came true when he started working with LYMAN LURES a Canadian based fishing lure manufacturing company where he has started designing various lines of apparel and products!..."My goal is to reach out and show the power of our outside world through my artistic ability!..In the end, i want people to see how important our wild friends are and hopefully raise a few eyebrows as to how crucial these creatures and their surroundings are and maybe have a greater appreciation for fish and wildlife and the general outside world!..I think these are some of the most important resources in the world and they need to be protected!"..Thank you to all my amazing supporters through out Canada and around the rest of the world!..An old guy once told me..."Working hard is important but their is something that matters more,Believing in yourself!"..Always remember to never give up on your dreams and keep hammering, Take care all!
